It's such an honour to be amongst those who carry the Goodnews of Jesus

It's such an honour to be amongst those who carry the Goodnews of Jesus. The word Gospel means good news.

This implies that anytime we speak, we ought to leave our listeners, first and foremost, with what the Lord has said, before we add our opinions. This will only happen, if we spend time with Papa so we are speaking His Heart not ours.

Sometimes, we discern so much of what is negative in the atmosphere around us and we imbibe that. We then speak from there and it sounds so negative and has a worldly perspective. We ought to learn to spend more time in the Presence of God. In this way, we speak from God's perspective so we bring hope into otherwise negative situations.

We are thus able to lift people from a place of depression and anxiety, to a place of faith.

We are people of God who carry love, hope and faith. We have been adopted into His family, and are co-inheritors with Jesus. We are Sons of a loving Heavenly Father, and Jesus said He would always be with us. However, we need to remember that Jesus said that in this world, we would have trials and tribulations, but He has overcome the world.

He thus left us with hope and assurance in the knowledge that our future is secure in Him. He said our battles are against principalities and powers, asking us to put on God's armour (Ephesians 6 v 10-18). He also recommended love and worship, as weapons.

We have the Holy Spirit within us, so as Christians, we are people who ought to carry the wisdom of heaven. The more time we spend in the Presence, the better we are able to represent God well. Some people are "Feelers" and are able to discern the atmosphere, picking up both the good and the evil. The enemy always wants to spread fear, so if I transmit this fear when I speak to people, I need to carefully analyse who I am representing. Are people listening to me encouraged to be faith-filled or are they fearful?

We saw a lot of this during the height of the covid pandemic, where there was so much fear everywhere. Christians were unable to pray as effectively as they normally would, because of the atmosphere of fear.

Sometimes, we feel that if we tell people a lot of gloom and doom stories, they will run to Jesus. This is not necessarily true. Some loose hope and instead, run to alcohol or drugs. We are better off speaking from a Spirit-filled heart and giving people Godly solutions. That way, you will not only be an encourager, but also you will help raise up people who are hope and faith-filled. They will also be those who are assured of their identity and inheritance in Christ Jesus. They will be happy to co-labour with Him in the Vineyard.

Paul knew this was a very important principle. Even though he was in prison when he wrote to the Phillipians, he had real joy in his heart and encouraged his readers to do the same. It would have been easy to stay in the terrible prison conditions and complained, but he used the time to encourage even generations yet unborn. The enemies' ploy is always to steal our joy because this is an attack on our strength (Nehemiah 8 v 10). Joy is a fruit of the Holy Spirit that dwells in us as believers in Jesus Christ.

So beloved, let us allow the Holy Spirit to examine our hearts regularly (See Psalm 139 v 1)….for out of our hearts flow the issues of life (Proverbs 4 v 23).

The more tender our hearts are, the easier it is to minister to others from our Lord's love Heart. The world is waiting for you and I.

God Bless You,
