PEACE DESTROYS THE AUTHORITY THAT ESTABLISHES CHAOS

The passage (Ephesians 6:14-18) speaks on the armour of protection against spiritual warefare. We are told that the feet are fitted with the readiness of the gospel of peace.

Peace destroys the authority that establishes chaos. 

The enemy creates chaos through division and alienation. He fractures relationships either in a subtle way or overtly between man and God, man and woman, man and man, between different people in every facet of society, and between man and nature. We have been called to war against this enemy that causes chaos and we must destroy his authority to establish chaos.

This authority is demonic in nature and to destroy it we have to live a lifestyle of being peacemakers. We must be aware that we are carriers of the Prince of peace, with our feet fitted firmly with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.

The world is full of chaos, brokeness, division and alienation. Satan’s structures are everywhere. Why this is so impactful is because if it doesn’t destroy us completely, it at least causes distraction so God’s order and desire is stopped or terribly delayed. 

You have been made to be a carrier of peace and this is so important. Look around at how desperately the world needs people who carry this gift to rise up into it.

So what are you and I going to do?

There are those who the enemy knows have this gift, so to destroy your ability to walk in this, the enemy brings so much chaos around you to drown you in it, and because you haven’t recognised what you carry, or are blind to it, he stops your ability to walk in the fullness of who you were made to be. 

How do we live a lifestyle of knowing how to bring the peace of God to bear on the situations in our communities?

Jesus is always our model and He did this depending on what His Father advised. Sometimes He was filled with compassion, other times, He was assertive, or forgave an obvious sinful situation or attacked the religious camouflage. John 5:19 says Jesus only did what he saw His Father doing. He therefore addressed it from different aspects.

Blessed are the Peacemakers (Matthew 5:9), for they will be called sons of God. It’s not an easy thing to aspire to. However, with God’s help you and I can become one as we yield ourselves to situations where Father God empowers us to bring peace to destroy the spiritual structure that authorizes chaos in every situation where people don’t want peace and are turning against God and the things of God.

Examples of this in the Bible include Jesus with the woman who was caught in the situation of adultery. Jesus always got great advice from Father God. Also the story of Gideon amongst others. 

So go forth carrying the Prince of peace as He takes you into different situations where He will teach you new ways to release His peace. Yield yourself to the training required that you will recognize these situations and destroy the demonic structures of authority that cause chaos.

EXERCISE….Papa, thank you for calling me to address this in my life today. 

1. Seek repentance that you have not walked in this all your life. Ask for forgiveness and ask him to take you into these situations 

2. Ask Him to show you situations around You that He desires that You bring His peace into. Ask Him how He desires you bring peace.

3. Ask for a fun gift as you enter this new God-given authority that had always been yours but you were not aware with Him.
