TRUSTING GOD WITH THE OUTCOME
Life is about lots of ups and downs. It's also about mountains and valleys. Walking with Father God can sometimes be like being on a roller coaster. However, it is important that we are assured of one vital fact that we can always trust Father God with the outcome.
We have entered into this new year 2021 circumspectly, having had a rather different year 2020. It was different in that the corona pandemic caused an upheaval, disrupting life as we knew it. So many were sick and died from the virus. Medical care, even in advanced nations of the world, struggled under the onslaught of this pandemic. World economies were pushed to the edge, while travel, education and much more, were brought to a halt for some part of the year.
There was little that anyone had control over. However, God was the only One we could trust and depend upon. Learning to depend totally on God for the outcome is so important to our ability to succeed this new year.
If we think of some biblical examples, we will see how this ability to trust God completely with the outcome, ensured their successes. After Saul, who was of the old order, disobeyed God, the favour of God was transferred to David (new order) (1 Samuel 16 v 1). Saul tried very hard, chasing David all over the country, to kill him. David did not try to retaliate, or kill Saul to force the new order, even when He knew he was going to be the new King, or when the opportunity presented itself (1 Samuel 24 v 1-13). Rather, he waited on God to deal with Saul in His own way. He trusted God for the outcome inspite of how much at risk of danger, his life was.
If we think of Virgin Mary, there was the excitement of being told of the news that she was to give birth to God's Child (Luke 1 v 26 – 38: 46- 56). We know that she couldn't have understood much of what all this meant. However, it couldn't have been easy at all having to cope with all the gossip and ridicule there must have been, and the disbelief of her neighbours. This must have been a very difficult time for her and Joseph. In all this however, they trusted God with the outcome. She entered completely into the eternal plan of an 'incarnate Deity'. She didn't try to figure out in her mind how to do it differently and less spectacularly. She was totally obedient to all Father God wanted to do through and in her.
Jesus also went with Father God's plan of suffering, crucifixion, death and resurrection. The Bible tells us that for the joy that was set before Him, He endured the Cross (Hebrews 12 v 2). He went through much shame, torture, etc and did not try to short-circuit any part of it, but went the whole way. When He battled with the pain and agony in His Heart, before He was arrested in the garden of Gethsemane, He said, "not my will but yours". This is a sentence, we may need to learn to say.
God said in Isaiah 55 v 8, My ways are different from your ways. His ways always get God's result while our ways produce man's result. There is a big difference between these two.
So what is going on in your life, that doesn't look like what you want it to look like. Or do you think you could work it out in a better way, however you do know that God is in it. Father God has even assured you that He is guiding you down this path but you aren't keen.
Is it possible that there are things or ways of God that you are to learn during this time that will help you overcome greater things in the future.
Are there divine connections or business connections you are to enter into as you learn humility or whatever Papa is talking to you about.
The more yielded we are to Jesus, the easier it will be for Him to transform us into His image. The less time we spend using our brains to figure stuff out, the more time we will have to focus on how Father God is doing what He is doing. We will drop our methods and our will and become more excited about His Presence, desires, and His will. We will begin to love Him more and that is where trust is developed. It is this trust that will make us faith-filled and enable us look forward to the outcome. We will then believe with all our hearts that He indeed can be trusted with bringing us into a successful outcome.
